 Coby
is 1 year old and every bit a puppy that loves to play, play, play. He is
neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations, good with older children and other
dogs when introduced properly. Coby is being fostered with 5 other Basenjis
and they have been tutoring him in the art of "good house dog etiquette" as
he awaits his future home. Did I mention he likes to play?
Coby's foster Mom had this to say about him:
Coby is a very sweet little boy and would be a blast in any home. Being a
puppy he does require lots of attention. He is very vocal, especially when
he greets you. He is house trained and has never marked or had an accident
while in our home. He is crate trained, but doesn't love it and is so-so on
the leash. He can be a little snarky if you startle him from sleep. But, not
at all if you talk to him and pet him on waking.
Coby's perfect home will have someone to spend lots of time with him.
Older, respectful children are OK but none under the age of 10 years. He
doesn't know how to calm down around little ones.
His new home will need another active dog, as most humans don't have the
time or energy to play with him that he wants. He needs and loves someone or
something to play with. NO cats - we wouldn't want a cat to be mistaken for
a toy! We call him Coby Jack (like Colby Jack cheese) and when he is in
trouble I call him Jack-Jack. Because he reminds me of the baby on the
"Incredible" - so cute but could be a mess if you let him!
