Spaz

My name is Spaz, I'm 2 years old, and I'm pretty sure I'm mostly Basenji. I hear that Basenji's have lots of energy, and I'll show them. I am fit and fast and I love to run and play!

I have been living with my bother Obsidian (Sid) who says he is part Lab and part Coon Hound, and we get along great and love to play, and no matter what that big goof says I win most of the time. There are other dogs in my current home as well but they are little and mostly stay inside; but I like them too. Sid and I live in the back yard and share a nice igloo dog house. I love people too as long as they are not little people who would pull my tail and ears; those little guys bother me.

It seems that are too many of us dogs here right now and they need to find me a new home. In my dreams I would like to have other dog companions around, and lots of time to run so I can burn off some of this energy. I like to go for walks but I pull on the leash a lot. They tell me I am chipped and was adopted at a Petco in Utah from the ASPCA whatever that is.

I could use a little training, but I know I'm a fast learner and I look forward to getting praise because I aim to please. I also heard that I would be a good agility dog, and that sounds like fun. I'm a really good jumper, but I haven't found a reason to jump out of the back yard since that is Sid's and my territory. I am very friendly and love to cuddle and give kisses, and someone said I have a soft mouth. I wasn't sure how to take that comment!

All in all, I think I could be the companion you have been looking for, and with a little patience and training maybe the best you ever had. Can I come live with you?

Please e-mail <t.reck@yahoo.com> if interested in Spaz. In leu of an adoption fee, adopter must pay for shots and de-worming.
