Blackey

My name is Blackey and I really want a forever home! My first owner died and I was put in the shelter a long time ago! I am currently in foster care but I want a family of my very own and maybe it's you!

I get along with men, women, children, and other dogs of all sizes, but I can't even remember meeting a cat! I am house trained and crate trained, I know how to sit, lay down, and shake. I love to run, play fetch with my football, and curl up on the tile to cool my belly or in a blanket to sleep.

I'm not really sure what mix I am, but a few people think I have Basenji in me! I am all black with a white chest and sadly, black is a bad color to be for a dog with no home... I guess we're just not "flashy" enough, and people often overlook how wonderful we can be.

They say that I am turning 10 in November, however I have more energy than the other dogs in this foster home and they are 3 and 4 years old. If I am really that age, I sure don't act like it!

Consider making me part of your family, I've been waiting so, so long. I have a very short list of wants; a good meal, a gentle caress, someone to play fetch with, and to be my good friend. In return I will love you for as long as I can.
