Astrhea

My name is Astrhea (A-stray-a- it means the goddess of justice) and I'm 3 years old. I am a good girl; my mom got sick and she cannot keep me anymore.

I was born in a shelter; I don't really like change, but once I get used to my new home, it will be like I was always there. My mom just recently learned I am a Basenji mix so she said that "explains a lot!"... whatever that means.

I LOVE to run and play fetch in the yard and I also love to chase the birds and squirrels. I am super lovable and give tons of kisses and hugs. I am potty trained, plus I can "sit", "lie down", and "heel." Once we get out the door, I do very well on my leash and I like to go for long walks.

I really like older kids because we can roughhouse and play outside, but little babies make me nervous, so if you have little ones, please don't take me home. I would love to be an only dog, because I love the attention, but I have had sisters in the past, so I could probably learn to share. If you had the time, I would really love to learn the agility courses or the lure courses... I'm a very fast runner!

She has a bit of a sensitive stomach so she can't eat very rich treats; I will be updating her shots before she is adopted; she has been tested for fecal worms and heart worms in the past 6 months, both of which were negative, but I'm not sure of the date. Either way, I will make sure she is PERFECTLY healthy before she leaves.
