Josie is a very cool-looking Basenji mix. She was pulled from a shelter
in Tennessee and is living with her foster mom while she waits for her
forever home.
Josie is a loving, friendly 3 year old girl who is athletic and
exuberant. She loves men and women, and would be fine with children older
than 8. She has never exhibited any snappiness towards people, but she is
very bossy with other dogs.
Joise has a strong prey drive, so would not be good in a home with cats
or tiny dogs. She is not aggressive, but has a strong desire to chase small
animals, and she plays too rough with them. She is fine with
dogs her size
or larger.
She walks beautifully on a leash and does not cross in front. She rides
well in car and loves to sleep on a bed or sofa. She is crate trained, does
not appear to be destructive and loves to retrieve her stuffed toys--she
does not gut them, but likes to carry them around. She is a wonderful little
retriever.
Her perfect home would be with a serious runner who wants a companion.
She is a machine and can go for hours!
