Stella
Stella is an affectionate and fun-loving Basenji puppy.
She loves people and other dogs and is always ready for cuddling on the
couch. Stella enjoys playing with toys from her basket and has an unusual
trait for a Basenji - she puts them back in the basket when she's through
playing!
Like all puppies, Stella is always ready to chew on something. She
doesn't seem overly destructive though, and supplying her with appropriate
chew toys should help control this behavior. Stella is housebroken and is
still getting comfortable with walking on a leash. She rides well in a car
and is happy sleeping in her crate or on her foster Mom's bed. Because she's
young, she'll benefit from continued obedience training.

Stella had a difficult start in life but is flourishing at
her foster family's home. She's missing part of her tail, which may have
been injured and amputated by her mother when she was very young. Her tail
isn't sensitive however and she seems to get along just fine. Stella is a
very social Basenji who has always lived with her littermates and other
dogs.
She would really enjoy a forever home with some canine companions, and
would do well with children as well.
If you think you could provide Stella with love, activity, and evening
cuddle-time, please read the data sheet below carefully, complete
the BRAT
adoption form (if you have not previously done so)
and contact BRAT coordinator,
Ann Lambertus (Wilson). The coordinator's link will take you to a form that will
ask you your name, e-mail address, the city and state you live in, why this dog is perfect for your family, a
typical day in your household, and, if applicable, how you plan to
transport the dog. |
