Basenji Rescue and Transport (BRAT) is an all-volunteer, nonprofit organization dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming Basenjis in need across the United States and Canada.
Every dog who comes into BRAT's care receives the medical attention, foster support, and individual evaluation they need to thrive -- from routine vaccines and spay/neuter to specialized testing and senior care. With the help of a nationwide network of volunteers, we place hundreds of Basenjis each year into safe, permanent, loving homes.
Your donation makes this work possible. BRAT receives no government funding and relies almost entirely on the generosity of people who care about the breed and the dogs who need help most.
Many supporters choose to give in honor or memory of someone special, or to mark a meaningful occasion. If your gift is made on behalf of another person, please include their information in the comments section. We'll send a thoughtful acknowledgment, and the donation amount is never shared.
Together, we give Basenjis a second chance -- and a place to belong.
